With The Amazing Spider-Man 2 set to release May 2nd, and its follow up The Amazing Spider-Man 3 set to release the summer of 2016, 20th Century Fox is looking to tighten its grasp firmly around this particular Marvel franchise and give us a villain spin-off movie, Sinister Six, between the two film releases.

The Sinister Six are the main villains of The Amazing Spider-Man series, featuring Electro, Doctor Octopus, Kraven the Hunter, Mysterio, Sandman, and The Vulture, and Deadline is reporting that Cabin in the Woods director Drew Goddard is close to finalizing a deal to direct the film.
