Bekmambetov and Universal To Remake Black Lightning

Director Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted) is reportedly in talks with Universal Pictures about an English-language remake of the hit Russian sci-fi thriller that he produced and was released last year entitled, Black Lightning. The basic premise for the original film involved a college kid having no luck with the girl of his dreams, until he comes into possession of a flying car that makes him a superhero.
