Take a look into the mind of writer/director, Neill Blomkamp for his upcoming film, ‘District 9’:
“District 9” hasn’t even been released yet and writer/ director Neill Blomkamp is already preparing for a sequel. Early reviews are calling “District 9” the must-see movie of the summer and even an instant sci-fi classic.
Blomkamp talks about a sequel:
“If this film is successful, if audiences want another, whatever, District 10, I would love to do it. It’s a very personal film, and it’s a universe and a place that I find incredibly creative. I’d love to go back to that universe.”
If the reaction at San Diego Comic-Con was any indication, “District 9” will be well received. What is Neill up to in the meantime?
“I have another science fiction film now that I want to write for the rest of the year. That, I think, may be the next one, and I’m incredibly into [it]. It’s quite different, and it’s a unique idea, but I’m very into it.”
“District 9” opens Friday, August 14th.
