Battle: Los Angeles Viral Website Launches

Sony’s Columbia Pictures have launched a viral website for the upcoming alien action movie Battle: Los Angeles, which stars Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight). Well, actually there are two sites… sort of. ReportThreats.org is basically a placeholder site with an image and a button to enter another site called W.A.T.C.H., which stands for: Worldwide Assessment of Threats Concerning Humankind.

The W.A.T.C.H. site examines alien events throughout history, including a Battle of Los Angeles event back in 1942. The site has a collection of ‘Expert Analysis’ videos, links to articles containing ‘Evidence’ and ‘Eyewitness Testimonials.’ I’ve dropped one of the ‘Eyewitness Testimonial’ videos and one of the ‘Expert Analysis’ videos below, as well as a screen-shot of the W.A.T.C.H. site which you can click to visit the site.

Battle: Los Angeles revolves around a Marine staff sergeant (Aaron Eckhart) and his new platoon’s battle against an alien invasion on the streets of Los Angeles.

Battle: Los Angeles is slated to hit theaters on March 11th, 2011
