Batman 3: Morgan Freeman Talks About The Villains

Back in December we brought you an interview with Morgan Freeman (Red) where he spoke about Christopher Nolan‘s impending follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2008 film, The Dark Knight. Back then, Freeman indicated that he was relatively certain that he both he and Michael Caine would return for the third installment as Bruce Wayne’s confidante, Lucius Fox and the Butler of stately Wayne Manor, Alfred Pennyworth respectively.

Freeman also indicated that he had an idea of what villain he would like to see in the film, stating:

“I want to see Catwoman. I have [a casting] idea, but it’s just an idea and I’m going to keep it to myself.”

Recently, Freeman spoke with MTV and had a few more things to say about the villian, or villain(s) in the third film.

“There’s been talk of the Riddler, the Joker – I don’t mean the Joker – the Penguin. Philip Seymour Hoffman as the Penguin, and that sounds interesting to me. So we’ll wait and see. And there just may be more than one.”

Who would you like to see as the villain (or villains) in the film, and who would you like to see cast in the roles? Let us know in the comments below!

Christopher Nolan‘s as yet Untitled Batman Project is slated to hit theaters on July 20th, 2012.
