A Touch Of Mars On TERRA NOVA


Life On Mars” (US version) star, Jason O’Mara, is in talks to star in Steven Spielberg’s television series “Terra Nova”. This Fox series will premiere thirteen episodes midway through in the 2010-2011 season and follows the Shannon family who travels back in time from a dying world in 2149 to prehistoric Earth to be a part of human colony called Terra Nova to rebuild civilization. O’Mara is up for the role of Jim Shannon, the father of the Shannon family.

Steven Spielberg (“Jurassic Park”), Peter Chernin, Brannon Braga (“FlashForward”), and David Fury (“Angel”) are producing “Terra Nova“. Braga and Fury are the showrunners of the show. Alex Graves (“Fringe”, “Journeyman”) will direct the series pilot. The pilot is set to begin filming this summer. Fox is aiming for the series to make its premiere the week after the Super Bowl.
