A Makeover for HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS

Grinch

The 1966 version of the animated classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a fixture on our television at Christmas time and it’s hard to believe that Jim Carrey’s live action movie The Grinch came out way back in 2000. Has it really been that long? Anyway, the animated version is getting a makeover courtesy of Universal Pictures, Chris Meledandri and director Pete Candeland.

You may remember Chris Meledandri from other Dr. Seuss movies like Horton Hears a Who or The Lorax, and Pete Candeland is best known for his work music videos for The Gorillaz. We’re still waiting on a writer to be named for the picture, and a release date as well but some holiday soon, we’ll have a new Grinch movie to look forward to.

We’ll keep you posted on Chris Meledandri and Pete Candeland’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
