A Love Story With Real Issues of Gravity in UPSIDE DOWN

Upside Down

Talk about star-crossed lovers. Imagine a world where another world is connected to it with its own gravity. Yeah, I’m having trouble with that too. It’s not even just the world that has its own gravity but the people who live on their respective worlds would have gravity that corresponded. Upside Down takes my suspension of disbelief to a whole new level. I’m not sure if I want to see it more for the cool effects or more to see how they’re going to redefine gravity in a way that I’ll except.

Kirsten Dunst (Melancholia) and Jim Sturgess (Cloud Atlas) star in this modern day, futuristic, Romeo and Juliet written and directed by Juan Diego Solanas. Here’s the synopsis followed by the trailer:

Synopsis:

Kept apart from the girl he has loved his entire life; Adam must fight to reunite with Eden. But the laws of his world as well as the laws of gravity keep him from her. Adam must risk everything to access the forbidden world of affluence that exists literally above him. As he struggles to keep the authorities from discovering him while manipulating the gravitational force that physically pulls him back to his world, Adam faces insurmountable danger in hopes of finding his long-lost love.
