Brad Peyton, who helmed the upcoming Journey 2: The Mysterious Island 3D and 2010’s Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, has sold his pitch for a film called Invasion to Reel FX. The story follows “a group of unarmed, unprepared students from Philadelphia who discover they’ll have to become soldiers to survive an attack from a supernatural force.”

According to Variety, Peyton will be producing and directing the film with the script written by J. Daniel Shaffer. Invasion breaks from the family-friendly films Peyton has done in the past and is described as being more akin to Cloverfield.

Andrew Adamson and his company Strange Weather Films will also be producing on the project.
