Earlier this month we told you that Producer Joel Silver (The Matrix) wants to make the Carl Rinsch (The Gift) directed re-boot of Logan’s Run in 3D. Now comes word that Alex Garland (Sunshine, 28 Days Later) is in negotiations to script the film for Warner Bros.

THR also says that Joel Silver and producer Akiva Goldsman are working from the source novel, written by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson rather than the original 1976 film partly because the novel has a greatly expanded world compared to the movie.
