Knights-Of-Badassdom-logo-WIDE

It’s been two years since we last reported on The Knights of Badassdom, but we FINALLY have a short trailer for you in addition to the promise of an on demand release day. And if you know that your neighborhood houses enough fans to reserve a theater, there’s a Tugg for that. More information on that after the synopsis and trailer.

In this humorous fantasy adventure from IndieVest Pictures, Joe (Ryan Kwanten) is a heavy metal rocker who’s just gone through a painful breakup with his girlfriend, Beth (Margarita Levieva). His concerned roommates (Steve Zahn, Peter Dinklage) kidnap him to their LARP (Live Action Role Playing) gathering, where he enters a realm of fantasy escapism in which pretend knights, elves, and barbarians clash with foam weaponry on a mock battlefield. When Joe’s “sorcerer” roommate (Zahn) inadvertently summons a deadly succubus that takes Beth’s seductive form, bloody reality crashes down upon their fantasy world. Once LARPers start to turn up dead, the make-believe wizards and warriors must become the real life heroes they have been pretending to be in order to conquer the evil that has been unleashed.

BAD NEWS EVERYONE THE DIRECTORS VISION IS NOT WHATS COMING TO VIDEO ON DEMAND. VERY SAD NEWS. THEY CUT ABOUT 40 MINS FROM THE MOVIE and GAVE IT A MORE COPORATE ENDING IF YOU GET WHAT THAT MEANS. THE SMART THING TO DO IS THREATEN A BOYCOTT AND HOPE THE EXECS MAKE THE RIGHT DESCISION AND LET THE DIRECTORS VISION BE BROUGH TO US!!!!

Even though the film went through some editing to get it to us. I don’t think that that has to necessarily be a bad thing. It is FINALLY getting to us! And that additional 40 minutes would make great special features on the DVD release. I’m thrilled. It has been a long time coming!
