We’ve been reporting on the Terminator reboot, now titled Terminator: Genesis, since this summer and last we heard, Game of Thrones director Alan Taylor (also know for Thor: The Dark World) had been attached to the project. Now that the ink is dry on his contract and Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to be the loveable robot it’s time to start letting those casting reports roll in.
Looks like Alan Taylor is going to be reuniting with Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke in the role of Sarah Connor (originally played by Linda Hamilton), according to THR, who is also reporting that Jason Clarke (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) is rumored to be in talks to play an older John Connor. We’ll keep you posted on how that hashes out. They’ve also got a heads up on the plot as well. Check out what they said below.
This time, in a time-spanning story that also will have a young Kyle Reese and an adult Connor, the Terminator robot is tasked to protect Sarah Connor from childhood and into young adulthood.
We’ll be sure and keep you posted on the latest for Terminator: Genesis starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Emilia Clarke which is slated to hit theaters July 1st, 2015.
