Losties Rejoice as Damon Lindelof’s THE LEFTOVERS Gets Series Order from HBO

Finally, finally, we’ll get a Damon Lindelof show back on our screens on a weekly basis. Finally. All Losties rejoice as the news spreads that HBO has picked up to 10-episode series Lindelof’s The Leftovers, based on the book by Tom Perrotta. The series revolves around a small town coping with life after many of its citizens have ascended to heaven in the rapture.

The news came first from Deadline, and hopefully we’ll be getting more info soon. With a stellar cast and a ridiculously talented writer/showrunner on a cable network, this is really going to be something to see. We’ll keep you posted about all things The Leftovers as they develop.

The Leftovers, starring Justin Theroux, Amy Brenneman, Christopher Eccleston, Liv Tyler, Chris Zylka, Margaret Qualley, Carrie Coon, Emily Meade, Amanda Warren, Ann Dowd, Michael Gaston, Max Carver, Charlie Carver, Annie Q, Paterson Joseph and Brad Leland will premiere hopefully in 2014, but definitely on HBO.
