We got you up to speed last week on casting for Damon Lindelof‘s (Lost, Star Trek Into Darkness) HBO pilot The Leftovers, based on the book of the same name by Tom Perrotta. The series revolves around a small town coping with life after many of its citizens have ascended to heaven in the rapture.
More casting has just been revealed, as the ultra cool and rather scary twin members of the Teen Wolf alpha pack, Charlie and Max Carver, have joined the Lindelof pilot. Yes, I’m sorry to say, it’s still a pilot, as we await word from HBO about whether there will ever be further episodes. I suppose they’re waiting for the pilot to actually be made, before making a decision on it. Goofballs.
As we told you last week, the main character in the pilot is chief of police Kevin Garvey, played by Justin Theroux. The Carver men will play characters very different from their Teen Wolf dark and brooding alpha wolf personae in this pilot; Scott (Charlie) and Adam (Max) Frost are lighthearted friends of Garvey’s daughter, also reportedly a relaxed and happy character, apparently a breath of fresh air in the post-rapture gloom, according to Deadline.
We’ll keep our fingers crossed about the pilot, and keep you posted.
