We’ve been keeping an eye on BBC America‘s new original series Orphan Black since it was first announced as part of their “Supernatural Saturdays” lineup. I’ve now seen the pilot; look for my review here on SciFiMafia.com this Friday. Until then, we have a few bits and pieces of the pilot for you to check out, as well as a clip from star Tatiana Maslany‘s appearance on the premiere of The Nerdist, which follows directly after the premiere of Orphan Black.
First, the opening scene, then the very cool title sequence. The next clip comes just slightly later in the pilot, so don’t worry, you’re not going to be massively spoiled. The final clip of this post, from The Nerdist, features her chatting up Dominic Monaghan about working with green screens, a nice squee for Lost and Lord of the Rings fans.

“Sorry, Art, whoever you are, I’m gone for good…”
Don’t miss ORPHAN BLACK — the smart, sexy and suspenseful conspiracy-thriller starring rising star TATIANA MASLANY (The Vow, Picture Day) as Sarah, an outsider and orphan whose life changes dramatically after witnessing the suicide of a woman who looks just like her.
Sarah assumes her identity, her boyfriend and her bank account. But instead of solving her problems, the street-smart chameleon is thrust headlong into a kaleidoscopic mystery. She makes the dizzying discovery that she and the dead woman are clones…but are they the only ones?
Sarah quickly finds herself caught in the middle of a deadly conspiracy, racing to find answers.
Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany discusses the process of interacting with multiple versions of herself and greenscreen with Wild Things’ Dominic Monaghan, Chris Hardwick, Matt Mira and Jonah Ray.
