Legendary Moves Forward With WORLD OF WARCRAFT Film Sans Sam Raimi But With New Script

WOW fans, I know you were disappointed with the recent news out of San Diego Comic-Con 2012 that Sam Raimi would not be directing the live-action film adaptation of Blizzard Entertainment’s World of Warcraft, titled simply Warcraft, but that’s not stopping Legendary Pictures with their development of the project.

According to Variety, the studio likes scribe Charles Leavitt‘s (The Seventh Son, Blood Diamond) take on the fantasy world. Leavitt will be writing the script for Warcraft. The studio is on the hunt for a new director.

I would like to Peter Jackson or JJ Abrams for this. I’m actually glad Sam Raimi isn’t directing this.
