DREDD: Set Photo Of Karl Urban’s Judge On The Lawmaster Motorcycle

Over the last few months, we’ve brought you photos of props, and some Mega-City One vehicles taken from the Cape Town, South Africa set, and the first official look at Karl Urban (Red, Priest) in full costume as Judge Dredd, wielding the Lawgiver during rehearsals, for the Pete Travis (Vantage Point) directed DREDD, which is based on a screenplay written by Alex Garland (28 Days Later).

Now,  2000ADOnline brings us a cool photo of the title character cruising on his Lawmaster motorcycle. Check it out below!

Synopsis:

“DREDD takes us to the wild streets of Mega City One, the lone oasis of quasi-civilization on Cursed Earth. Judge Dredd (Karl Urban) is the most feared of elite Street Judges, with the power to enforce the law, sentence offenders and execute them on the spot – if necessary. The endlessly inventive mind of writer Alex Garland and the frenetic vision of director Pete Travis bring DREDD to life as a futuristic neo-noir action film that returns the celebrated character to the dark, visceral incarnation from John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra’s revered comic strip.”

DREDD is slated to hit theaters in 2012.

Yeah, the bike is lame. And does Urban look a bit. well, portly?

Regardless, the dude in the background looks like he’s carrying a lightsabre!

Hopefully it will be as good as the underrated Stallone movie.

DuJuan, word from the 2000AD folks that have visited the set is that Karl Urban most definitely IS THE LAW. They’re all saying he embodies the character perfectly and people are going to be damn impressed.
