Sony Pictures To Modernize Mary Shelley’s FRANKENSTEIN

Sony Pictures Entertainment is planning to bring Mary Shelley’s classic monster, Frankenstein in to the modern age. Craig Fernandez (From Prada to Nada) wrote the screenplay, which will take Dr. Frankenstein and his monster from his classic digs and bring them into modern-day. No information has been announced as to when Sony’s Frankenstein will go into production as of yet.

Deadline reports that this will be producer Matthew Tolmach‘s (Untitled Spider-Man Reboot) first project since departing his position as Sony co-president in order to focus more on production.

Frankenstein is slated to hit theaters in 2013.

If you do make a movie using the original book then use all the character make the movie excatly like the book. My teacher would love that so would my classmates we love the book. We read it in class and a movie exactly like the book would be great!!!!!!!! So go ahead make a movie I will be in the Theater to watch it :)

  2. I’m going to be cautiously optimistic about this one … sometimes a reworking of a story into a modern setting is excellent and other times they are really bad. I suppose casting will be important.
