The Next Episode of THE WALKING DEAD Will Eat You Alive!

Millions watched the premiere of AMC’s The Walking Dead that broke the ratings record for most-watched cable series this year. Will the show be able to keep up the pace and keep viewers engrossed? Andrew Lincoln, who plays lead Rick Grimes on the show said that the second episode is all action:

The Walking Dead: Andrew Lincoln Interview

Even Robert Kirkman, creator of the comic series source material for the show, hopes that the television adaptation will thrill and surprise fans of the comic:

“One of the best aspects of the comic book series is [that] when you sit down to read an issue, you really have no idea what’s going to happen. Anybody could go at any moment. There’s really no sense of safety in the comic book at all.

And I wanted to preserve that for the television show. If people on the show have ideas for different things to happen, I encourage that. I want people to be as surprised by the show as they are by the comic book series.”

Season one of The Walking Dead has already concluded. It was a short season with only six episodes. But don’t worry! The show will be back in 2011 around Halloween time for season two. In the meantime, I’d recommend checking local listings for airings of repeats for a double dose of walkers!
