The 37th Annual Annie Awards took place on February 6th at UCLA’s Royce Hall in Los Angeles. The Annie Awards are the animation industry’s highest honors and this year, director Tim Burton was given the honorary Winsor McCay Award for his work in, and in support of, animation.
While Burton couldn’t be at the awards ceremony in Los Angeles, he did take the time to create something of a short horror film in lieu of your average acceptance speech. Check it out below!
