BBC America has just released a new teaser trailer and poster for the upcoming season of “Doctor Who” with the eleventh Doctor, played with Matt Smith and his new companion Amy Pond, played by Karen Gillan. The trailer confirms that the Doctor will be encountering familiar villains like the Weeping Angels from now showrunner, Steven Moffat’s “Blink” and the ever-recurring Daleks. Get ready folks, cuz this is our new Doctor for the next three (or more) years!

Wait, the 11th Doctor uses guns?!?

Whoa! The Doctor actually using violent physical contact?! And taking a less passive/aggressive approach to problem solving?! I think I may like this guy.
I’m skeptical at this new Doctor. Well, he’s much younger than our other Doctors and certainly seems to have a different way of dealing with things, but I’m optimistic!
One of my little pet peeves about ‘Doctor Who’ has been the extreme passive/aggressive way The Doctor deals with villains. I’m pretty sure 25% of the conflicts could’ve been resolved a lot sooner if The Doctor simply punched the f**k out his opponents. As far as the age goes, all male British actors seem to look 35 or older so I honestly won’t find that an issue. And if it’s any consolation, this new Doctor’s aggressive nature is a good way to balance out the fact that his wardrobe consists of Tucker Carlson’s hand me downs.
