Dante’s Inferno Gameplay Montage Shows Off Some Brutal Vengeance

Check out this gameplay montage for the new Dante’s Inferno video game slated by Electronic Arts and Visceral Games. The game is loosely based on Inferno, the first book of Dante Alighieri’s epic poem, The Divine Comedy. The montage showcases Dante’s wicked-fast moves as he slashes and slaughters, massacres and mangles the devil’s demons through Hell’s nine circles. Equipped with Deaths Scythe and the Holy Cross, Dante must save his Beatrice from the devil, and in so doing, come to face his own demons to redeem himself.

  1. Your main weapon is a big friggin’ scythe?!? I am totally buying this game! It seems very reminiscent of the God of War series with some sick new kills! I hope it lives up to the expectations.

I know, looks totally bad ass! It’s funny that you mentioned GoW because diehard fans of that game are already blasting this for being a rip-off.

While the gameplay may seem slightly similar, at least it’s a totally different story… and who the hell (no pun intended) would’ve ever thought to port Alighieri’s Divine Comedy into a video game?
