The Chronicles of Riddick followed the adventures of Richard B. Riddick, as he attempted to elude capture after the events depicted in the Pitch Black, which details his meeting with Jack and Imam, his escape from the prison planet Crematoria, and his battle with the Necromonger fleet. It was directed by David Twohy, and starred Vin Diesel, Karl Urban, Judi Dench, Thandie Newton and Colm Feore.
Everyone who has been awaiting the return of Vin Diesel as Riddick will be pleased to know that the sequel seems to be one step closer to reality because Diesel entered the following update on his Facebook page, stating;
“The Riddick team is in New Zealand location scouting already… that’s exciting”
It’s about bloody time Vin Diesel started working on ‘King Riddick’ (or whatever he plans to call it). I was beginning to wonder how many more box office flops he was going to make before he (finally) went back to that well.
