While villain rumors for the impending Sam Raimi film, Spider-Man 4 have been circulating through the internet like wildfire lately, MTV recently sat down with Tobey Maguire and asked him for his opinion on a few villains that have been bandied about for quite some time.
Maguire said;
“I’m more familiar with Lizard and Mysterio, and I don’t know — I like them as villains,” Maguire told MTV News. “I think they’re great, and Lizard obviously has a very personal relationship with Peter Parker, so we often will go towards that kind of stuff.”

While I’d love to see The Lizard in all his glory up on the big screen, I do have one problem with it. I really think the character of Conners/The Lizard is way too similar (from a relationship to Peter perspective) to Doc Ock. I loved Spidey 2, so that’s not necessarily a bad thing but I think it may come off as too much of a re-hash. What do you think? Let me know in the comments.
