John C. Reilly, Mary-Louise Parker, and Oscar winner Helen Mirren have joined the cast of Red, an espionage thriller at Summit Entertainment. The three join Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman already on board.
“Red,” Summit Entertainment’s adaptation of the Wildstorm/DC Comics miniseries, a tale of a former black-ops agent (Willis), now in retirement, who has to contend with younger, more high-tech assassins who show up to kill him. Directed by Robert Schwenke.
Mirren will play an old associate of Willis with a “lethal set of skills”. Reilly will play a retired agent who is paranoid everyone is out to kill him. Mary-Louise Parker has been cast as Willis’ love interest, a federal pension worker who becomes mixed up in his struggle to stay alive
