Is the future in question for ABC’s “FlashForward”? Production on the freshman drama has been temporarily halted. This move by the network may be in response to yet another week in falling ratings. However, a ABC spokesperson diffuses worries about what this may mean for the show by saying:
“They started production early so that they could have the luxury to do this. They want to maintain the high quality of the show, and this gives the writers the opportunity to do so.”
“FlashForward” will air its mid-season finale on December 3rd and return to production the following Monday after a short six day break. This break is remarkably shorter than the creative hiatus imposed on another ABC show, “V”, whose last ep of this first ‘pod’ airs this week and then returns in March of 2010.
