avatarjakenetyriwide

Twentieth Century Fox has just released the interactive trailer for James Cameron’s upcoming 3-D film – Avatar. The interactive trailer is built on the Adobe AIR software platform, which users can easily download. The interactive trailer gives you behind the scenes looks at various aspects of the film. Fox will update the trailer until the movie is released, and those who download Adobe AIR will have the updates streamed directly to their desktops.

To call the trailer interactive is an understatement. Users can watch the extended trailer, view short films about the vision, design, and technology of the film’s characters and location, buy tickets for the movie, and even connect with Avatar social networking feeds.

Check it out by clicking HERE, or the image below (Takes you to the install).

If you’d prefer to skip the install and view the featurettes included in the interactive trailer (thus far) that focus on some of the human characters in the story such as Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Trudy Chacon (Michelle Rodriguez), Selfridge (Giovanni Ribisi), and Grace Augustine (Sigourney Weaver) and include plenty of never before seen footage, check out the videos below!
