Hawkman, Doctor Fate and Stargirl are coming to “Smallville” in the much-anticipated “Justice Society” episode penned by comic book scribe Geoff Johns.
According to IGN, Hawkman will be portrayed by Michael Shanks (Stargate SG1), Brent Stait (Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis) will appear as Doctor Fate and Fancast is reporting that actress Britt Irvin (Aliens in America) has been cast as Stargirl. Additional members of the Justice Society are also expected to appear in the episode when it airs in January.
Geoff Johns also hinted on Twitter that
Yes, Hawkman will have wings. And a big mace. Oh. And he and Green Arrow don’t get along. At all.
This episode marks Geoff Johns return to “Smallville” after writing last season’s fan favorite Legion of Superheroes episode titled LEGION. Johns has also been increasingly busy in Hollywood with potential film adaptations of “The Flash” and “Shazam.”
