No surprise here, ABC has ordered more eps of “FlashForward” to make up an extended first season of 25 eps of the show. “FlashForward” has done so well in ratings that it has bolstered ABC’s time slot on Thursday night with an increase of 32% over last year’s numbers when “Ugly Betty” held the slot.
“FlashForward” even surged past the ever popular “Survivor” on CBS with its premiere ep (only “Friends” has ever done that before) in the 18-49 demographic.
Solid DVR numbers show that 2 million more viewers watched the show after initial airings, racking up an impressive 14.5 million viewers for its premiere ep. “FlashForward” is one of the top new dramatic television shows in the 18-34 year old demographic this fall season.
It looks like ABC has found a way to retain its “Lost” scifi viewers (“Lost” concludes this May)!
