An infusion of familiar comedic face to the cast of Caprica- Patton Oswalt will have a re-occurring guest role in Syfy’s Battlestar Galactica prequel series, Caprica.
According to Syfy:
“Oswalt will play Baxter Sarno, a popular Caprican comedian talk show host on whose show Daniel Graystone (Eric Stoltz) and Amanda Graystone (Paula Malcomson) ultimately appear.”
Exec producer and showrunner for “Caprica”, Jane Espenson, will also be drawing in her Buffy ties to bring in James Marsters, best known as the vampire, Spike on “Buffy” and “Angel” (shown below with Dru). According to EW:
Marsters will play a dangerous terrorist leader by the name of Barnabus Greeley in a minimum of three episodes. Driven by desires both moralistic and carnal, Barnabus is as lethal as he is unpredictable.
Watch for Caprica next January 22 for its two hour premiere on Syfy.
