17th PRECINCT: BSG Alums Tricia Helfer and James Callis Join Ron Moore’s New Series

Two more Battlestar Galactica actors have joined up with Ron Moore on his new sci-fi series with NBC, called 17th Precinct. Tricia Helfer and James Callis join Jamie Bamber on the cast of the pilot of the ensemble cop drama “set in a fictional town of Excelsior where magic and with supernatural elements rule over science.”

Helfer will play a necromancer / cornoner aptly named Morgana who “is an expert at manipulating the potions, tools, herbs and spells of her trade.” Callis will play Jeff, one of the precinct’s homicide detectives alongside Bamber who has the role of Caolan, “an extremely focused crime scene detective.”

Now, how many more BSG alum do you think Moore can recruit for this show? Who would you like to see next?

17th Precinct is a Sony TV project and is in production in Vancouver.
